Manage recurring schedules
View the Schedule Center, request a recurring lesson, request changes, and follow approvals.
Use Calendar or List on desktop
- On a computer, click Schedule Center in the tutor navigation.
- Choose Calendar to compare scheduled lessons, availability, paused schedules, pending requests, and unavailable time.
- Choose List for a compact view of the student, subject, weekday, start time, and duration.
Desktop List view is usually easier when you want to open schedule actions.
View schedules on mobile
- Open Schedule Center from the mobile navigation. The page opens directly to Schedule list.
Mobile On mobile, review and manage Schedules from the list; the calendar is not shown. - Read the Student, Subject, weekday, start time, and duration for each item.
- Open the three-dot menu beside an item when you need its available Schedule actions.
Request a new schedule
- From Schedule Center, click New schedule.
- Choose the Student, one or more Subjects, Day, Start time, Duration, and Starts date.
Desktop A recurring Schedule continues indefinitely until it is paused or ended. - Explain why the schedule is needed in Reason for request.
- Click Send for approval. The schedule becomes active only after a Supervisor or Coordinator approves it.
Request changes to an existing schedule
- Switch the Schedule Center to List.
- Open the three-dot menu beside the schedule and choose Edit. Edit is hidden while another request is pending.
- Change the subjects, day, start time, duration, or start date, then enter a Reason for change.
- Click Send change request.
View a pending schedule request
- Open the schedule's three-dot menu and choose View pending request.
- Compare Current Schedule with Requested changes and read the request reason.
Desktop The current Schedule remains active until the request is approved. - Use Withdraw request only if the change is no longer needed.
What happens after review
- While the request is waiting for review, use View pending request to check the proposed change.
- If approved, the requested recurring Schedule becomes the current Schedule for future generation.
- If rejected, the previously approved Schedule remains in place. Tutors normally see approved Schedules and requests that are still pending.
- Open the three-dot menu and choose View history to review recorded changes to the approved Schedule.
Pause, resume, or end a schedule
These schedule lifecycle actions were found in the current tutor implementation in addition to the originally requested workflows.
- Open the schedule's three-dot menu. An active schedule can show Pause and End; a paused schedule can show Resume and End.
- For a pause request, choose whether already-published Sessions should be preserved or future unstarted Sessions should be cancelled.
- Enter the reason and send the request for approval.
